The digital maps of the average wind velocity and wind power
density can be displayed with the free software “GWS Viewer”.
The GWS Viewer enables the visualization of the maps in a
large interactive map window with “Zoom” and “Pan”
functionality. Nodes of interest can be found with the “Find”
functionality implemented in the software - the input of
geographic or UTM coordinates will center the map view on the
selected node.
The meteorological conditions of any desired node on the map
can be shown with a click into the map window. The
meteorological data of the nearest node will be used for
display. The data (wind and energy distribution, wind speed
and energy distribution and mean values) will be shown in wind
and energy roses and in diagrams.
