LIDAR Wind Measurements
LIDAR is a key technology for detailed wind
profiling up to a height of several hundreds of metres. By
using a laser, it is possible to obtain wind data at a variety
of measurement heights. LIDAR gives you the flexibility to
measure wind at the top of the proposed turbine, the upper
blade tip, not only the hub! LIDAR measurements significantly
reduce the uncertainty of yield calculations, a key component
of the business plan for a wind farm. AL-PRO offers a complete
LIDAR service which includes instrumentation deployment,
supervision, maintenance and all subsequent analyses.
