If no sufficient information about the wind conditions of a
location is available, it is essential for the planning of
wind energy converters to carry out a wind measurement.
In contrast to measurement masts at airports or to wind
measurements of the meteorological service for measurements
which serve as basis for wind farm planning it must be paid
attention to highest precision when choosing the measurement
instruments and its installation. While a difference of 1 % is
irrelevant and not significant for a general measurement, the
same measurement fault leads to considerable yield deviations
at wind measurements for energetic purposes. Due to this
reason we exclusively use high-quality calibrated anemometer
with a known and published power curve.
